"There is no fear (greek phobos: fear, terror, dread) in love; but perfect love casteth out fear..." 1 John 4:18

In this message we are going to deal with the negative unpleasant fear that is often used against us in our Spiritual Warfare.

For example, some of the fearful negative thoughts spoken to us by Satan in our ear:

"You will never make Heaven."
"You are always feeling discouraged"
"You will never receive your healing"
"That only happened in Bible days"
"You have a reason to fear"
"You will always be stressful and fearful"
"Your ministry will never grow"
"You will always be sick and poor"
"Look, you have prayed and nothing has happened"
"You are Always feeling down"

That is enough! I am sure everyone reading this can write their own list!

The Devil uses the power of fear and negative thoughts in every way possible, to discourage us in every possible way!

But - the Devil is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus was aware of man being fearful. We read in St Matthew 14:25-27 "And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." Try not to allow the spirit of FEAR, to control your thoughts and natural life!

The Spirit of fear stops you from receiving the promises of God! "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1.

There is Power in the Word! The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear?

"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?" Psalm 118:6

Do not listen to the Spirit of Fear but listen to God through His Word, the Spirit of Truth and Peace. What is the good reading the Word unless you practice it, be a doer of the Word!

The love of God is the answer to all fear! The love of God and loving one another.

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:17-18.

The answer to all our fear is perfect love, for God and from God!

The Devil is a liar, God is love.

As we walk in His love, love one another - all fear will start to go!
