Discouraged?

One of the greatest weapons that Satan uses against God's children is, DISCOURAGEMENT! He whispers in their ears, "You are not fulfilling Jesus' will in your life", "You are completely useless!" "God is not using you, like Rev. Smith in his Ministry." "You are not close to Jesus like you used to be!" "You are not led by the Holy Spirit anymore". "You are not going to make it." "You are called to be Holy, you are not!" "You are unworthy." These discouraging words from Satan are but a few that Christians over the years whom I have counselled have told me about! I am sure all Christians reading this, (if they are honest with themselves) will know what I am writing about! Satan uses other Christians a lot to "Put you down", mainly because they are jealous what Jesus has given you to do for Him.

Satan uses the modern day Scribes, Sadducees, and Pharisees, to criticise, the move of The Holy Spirit too! To every Christian that feels DISCOURAGED, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." James 4:7-8. A must for every Christian is to ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER! PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER! LOVE ONE ANOTHER! "Exhort one another daily." Hebrews 3:13. "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another." 1 Thessalonians 5:11.

Don't listen to Satan's whispers, or the people that he uses, he is a liar!! Here is a precious promise, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4. Whatever is discouraging you, cast it all upon Jesus. His love is so great. He understands. What ever is hurting you, however low you feel; trust in Jesus. He loves you so much! He knows how you feel right now! Whatever sin you have committed Jesus will forgive you (1 John 1:9) as you come to Him! He is a wonderful Saviour.
