When You Feel Afraid

During sometime in our lives, we all feel afraid. I know there has been many times when I have! Often during times of being afraid, regardless what is causing it, sometimes it is not always easy to pray, or share it with someone. God understands He knows how you feel! During times of being afraid, it is a good time (as it always is) to pick up your Bible, and read God's Word. This Scripture I find so powerful, with such a great promise:

"But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isaiah 43: 1-2.

That is such a wonderful promise to God's children, to us! "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1. God is Love! "For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock". Psalm 27:5. How great is our God. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up." Psalm 27:10. The Lord is my Deliverer, the light of my salvation, why should I be afraid, He is my everything, and He is my all! Therefore, "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:14.
