"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7).
Notice in this scripture, the peace of God, Which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus! The only true peace, God can give!
Many people, including Christians get nervous, stressful etc. through circumstances of life. Perhaps a death of a loved one, money worries, children, family or work. And of course this worried state, is made so much worse by satan. The answer to all our worries is the true peace of God, which can only happen by accepting God's only begotten Son into your heart, as your personal saviour! (Read John 3:16).
When satan puts thoughts in your head, think on this scripture: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8).
Your thought life can be from Jesus or of this world! God or satan. Positive or negative.
You might hear someone speaking, that is a close temptation that has happened to you (satan will come rushing in). Who you are going to believe? It is not easy when you have personally experienced it! "The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace." (Psalm 29:11).
"Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (2 Timothy 2:22).
Keep renewing your heart and mind! Have prayer times, fellowship times, bible study times, gospel music times etc. Amen!
"And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever." (Isaiah 32:17).
