"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18).
"For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified [The Cross], unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:22-24).
The Cross, is the centre of the Christian faith!
"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:4-5).
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree [The Cross], that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Peter 2:24).
Jesus being whipped for our healing, shedding His blood on The Cross, the Complete Atonement; for sin, and healing of all kinds! Buried and rising on the third day! (Read the complete chapter of 1 Corinthians chapter 15).
"Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?" (1 Corinthians 15:12).
Because Jesus died on The Cross, we can live. "For as in Adam all die [Because of "The Fall", sin entered into the world, and death by sin], even so in Christ [because of The Cross] shall all be made alive." (1 Corinthians 15:22).
Jesus made us all alive, because of The Cross. At the whipping post, He said, "...it is finished..." (St. John 19:30). Jesus died on The Cross for you and me. Jesus went down into the earth to hell/hades/sheol ("the place of the dead") to get the keys and set the captives free!
"And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:17-18).
Jesus is alive! Have you received the power of The Cross, Jesus Christ, His salvation, His resurrection power? He is, alive! His healing power and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is there for you. Read your Bible, have prayer time with God and have fellowship with other Christians (Church).
God bless you!
