I was seeing the New Year in with the other members that work with me. It was around 3am 1st of January, when our Lord gave me this scripture from His Word in the Beatitudes: "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6. In the Amplified Bible it states: "Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied! [Isa 55:1,2]." Matthew 5:6 (AMP). I felt as in the Bible days when Jesus was speaking to His disciples. He was speaking to us as a team to hunger and thirst more after righteousness, so that we could be filled even more and be like Him. I felt I should share this important message to seek more of God! I felt to share it with others who minister and to all born-again Christians, and to those who have not let our Lord into their hearts and lives yet! "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." Isaiah 55:1.

How important it is that we continue to hunger and thirst after righteousness with the promise that we shall be filled and be more like Jesus. Satan is always throwing buckets of water over us to cool us down. Speaking negative thoughts into our minds. Tempting us with the so called glitter of this world. Turning people against us - even other Christians! He is a liar and the father of all lies! He has been doing it many many years to get it just right! But the more we hunger and thirst after righteousness the more we shall be filled. Filled to overcome Satan. Remember it is not a natural warfare, but a spiritual warfare. Jesus said: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Matthew 6:24 (Mammon meaning worldly interests). You cannot serve two masters, you cannot have one foot on the wide road and one on the narrow.

If you are walking in the spirit, praise the Lord!! If you are sitting on the gate, be warned by the word of God. I praise the Lord He spoke to us, to seek more of Him, Amen!! It is good to listen to God and harken to His words; and be a DOER too!
